Accessing Moonkah through WebDAV from Windows

Windows XP has the ability to open WebDAV resources in MS Internet Explorer. We are showing you here how to create your private or group shared Web Folders on our Moonkah.net servers.

Do you need to access files located on Moonkah servers from your computer in the office, or at home?

The Web Folders Moonkah.Extranets Service makes this easy for you, because you will be able to access, write, delete, rewrite, copy/paste, any files located on Moonkah.net, the VERY SAME way you're managing any file located on your computer. No FTP, no PHP.ini file size limitations, just folders and files, of any type and any size. Access your home folders and your Moonkah folders together from the same application with couple mouse clicks, in Internet Explorer.

How to open a Web Folder located on Moonkah in Internet Explorer

Start Internet Explorer and choose Open in the File menu. Enter the URL of the WebDAV location that you would like to open (for instance http://dav.moonkah.net/sissy/MyProject for WebDAV access to Moonkah) and enable the Open as Web Folder checkbox, then click OK. Internet Explorer will prompt you for your login and password (provided to you upon subscription).

The simple way to:
  • - extend your storage capacity,
  • - perform network based backups,
  • - develop a private and secure network,
  • - save a file at the office, upload it to your Web Folder, then download it from home on your laptop,
  • - share large CAD, and/or any graphic files, with colleagues on the field, at remote locations.

Collaborate on Projects

Store every file at hand in the same place, regardless if that file was created in Europe, Canada or Alabama, you have access to it in your Web Folder, where only users assigned by you have access to upload and download files.

WebDAV Access Protocol to your Web Folders

The WebDAV folder is showing up as a normal folder. Manage your files the way you are accustomed to with Explorer.

In order to modify a file, copy it from the Web Folder to a desired folder on your hard drive, modify it and, once saved, copy the newly edited file version back to your Web Folder.

How to Order

Buying one single service-item from this site is not precisely the best solution. Why?

Because your business demands a complete on-demand IT package, be it for building and sustaining a Public Site, or for developing an encrypted and secured Private Network, or just optimizing an existing site.

This is why you always need to add a set of service-items to your basket. For intstance:

1. Choose the Function Elements first (software engine, additional components, domain name).

2. Pick up the Style Elements second (templates and CSS customizing tickets).

3. Add the Graphic Elements to your basket (personalized logos and other photos, drawings, designs).

Now you just built yourself a development pack. You may move your basket to checkout. When we receive your order we will know more accurately what your business requirements are. Oh yes, don't hesitate to fill in your comments in the final field right before sending us your order.

Thank you and

Happy Service Buying!
